2nd Oscar Nomination for Serious Pictures' Lucy Walker
Serious Pictures' latest signing, the multi-award winning feature documentary director ‘Lucy Walker’ has just been nominated for an Oscar for the second year running. Her nomination in this year’s Academy Awards for 'The Tsunami And The Cherry Blossom' follows her Oscar nomination last year for ‘Wasteland'.
"Wasteland" was the first film in history to win the audience award at both Sundance and Berlin in 2010, whilst “Countdown to Zero” premiered at Sundance and Cannes that same year and was released in 2011 to worldwide critical acclaim. Lucy’s previous work also includes the multi-award winning documentaries ‘Blindsight’ and ‘Devils Playground’. This latest Oscar nomination cements Lucy’s reputation as arguably the leading documentary story-teller in the World right now.
