Ben's website mrandmrswheatley.co.uk has a huge cult following. Ben has directed some of the most successful virals to date - Fingerskilz with over 7 million hits and the gold Cyber Lion Cannes award winning amBX viral in 2006. Ben's commercial debut was a spot for Pot Noodle with Mother. For Channel 4, he directed live action for the cult comedy series "Modern Toss" and content for Armando Iannucci's show "Time Trumpet" on BBC2. Ben had just finished writing and directing "The Wrong Door", a brand new 6 part comedy sketch show with CGI elements, due to be shown in the coveted Mighty Boosh slot in August on BBC3. James Studholme, MD of Blink says: "Ben is a new breed of effects and animation literate comedy director. Ewan McNicol
After studying film & TV at Edinburgh college of Art, Ewan moved to London to work as an assistant to commercial photographer, David Stewart. Having developed his skills in the world of photography he returned to his routes and has since been directing commercials and documentary films. He directed a number of spots for Nokia's global internal campaign and more recently a McDonalds commercial through Leo Burnett, London.Ewan was nominated for a Scottish BAFTA in 2004 for his documentary Taking Cuttings. He has also just completed a short documentary called Plane Days that has premiered at the Edinburgh International Film Festival.
