MATTHÄUS BUSSMANN JOINS STAMP
Stamp is thrilled to welcome commercials director Matthäus Bussmann into the fold. Hailing from Frankfurt, Matthäus is a hugely accomplished director, with over 150 commercials to his name! A seasoned production talent, he brings a wealth of experience to the table, regularly working with major brands like Sony Ericsson, Reebok, Volkswagen, Bayer and Sears. He also brings a keen eye for assured visuals and powerful performances; naturally, we are extremely happy to have him on board.
JORDAN BAHAT GETS TWISTED
Now here’s an original idea for a campaign. Jordan Bahat‘s latest project is a commercial for popular video game franchise Twisted Metal– with a difference. Featuring the game’s director David Jaffe, the spot offers fans the chance to shoot a fully automatic machine gun at an ice cream truck, remotely from their computers. For two days, 100,000 bullets can be fired by anyone with an internet connection.![Image Title](http://media.sohosoho.tv/thumbnail/460x460/1cf8eb0862b2d58cccb0af12c133f7e6438dc830a49db9674f3793c77370b08e/geometry/1cf8eb0862b2d58cccb0af12c133f7e6438dc830a49db9674f3793c77370b08e.jpg)
It’s a superb concept that plays well to the trigger-happy gaming audience, and the teaser looks stunning. Jordan will be returning to Nevada next week to shoot a Sony-branded documentary about the user-controlled machine gun – keep your eyes posted for that.
NEW DOCUMENTARY AD FROM DOUG PRAY
Stamp director Doug Pray has been hard at work completing a heartwarming new film for Mars. Working with agency BBDO Toronto, Doug has just delivered a 30-second commercial and 5-minute web film for the chocolate brand, documenting an isolated village community and their modest hockey arena. Grand Manan’s local hockey rink is a vital pillar of the community, but the seating area is as cold as the ice rink. So Mars steps in to sponsor a much-needed heated mezzanine. Naturally, the whole community pitches in with the construction.![Image Title](http://media.sohosoho.tv/thumbnail/460x460/23bd9b7d7759b83738eff641e59f86faae489365b5bfa62d049ccda3a5565e3c/geometry/23bd9b7d7759b83738eff641e59f86faae489365b5bfa62d049ccda3a5565e3c.jpg)
“I was attracted to the script because it was real,” Doug says. “Mars really did make an important donation to the community and the community really did appreciate it. I also enjoy working with real communities on big projects like this because, for them, it’s exciting and their enthusiasm helps inspire our work.”
This is vintage Pray – a beautifully-filmed documentary piece with a resolutely human edge.
