Tangle Teezer, the detangling hairbrush brand and Aardman have partnered up to increase brand awareness in an imaginative and interactive way by creating an exciting online game and on-pack promotion featuring Shaun the Sheep. It’s a game aimed at even the most die-hard gamer by sharpening your hairdressing abilities, encouraging you to tap into your inner hairstylist and improving time management skills!
Keeping true to Shaun’s slapstick style, the much loved fleecy one sets up a very basic hair salon in his barn with aspirations to become a top hairdresser. As a former hair colourist, inventor of Tangle Teezer, Shaun P draws on his expertise and experience from demanding clients. In the game this is played out at last minute appointments, where the gamer will be cutting, shearing, dying, clipping and, of course Tangle Teezing the flock. Challenging as well as entertaining, the Beauty Baahn works along the same lines as a salon. Gamers have many sheep to fluff and style, whereby they have to work against the clock and remember look book styles to keep the sheep bleating their way to hair happiness. Emphasis is on keeping the sheep feeling their wool is worth it – if they are not happy they do not tip, and if you’re low on takings that day you won’t have the chance to upgrade your barn salon style with new fittings and tools.
Shaun P has worked in some swanky salons during his career from Rodeo Drive, LA through to 5th Avenue in NYC and The King’s Road in London, so knows the importance of blinging up your barn to impress the client – and Shaun’s flock are no different when wanting the best hair hangout in the field! Shaun the Sheep has enjoyed massive global success in its other digital adventures and Aardman worked closely with the creative team at Tangle Teezer to develop the gameplay. A collectable Compact Styler with Shaun the Sheep will also be runner-up prizes and sold on both the official websites.
First launched in 2007, Tangle Teezer is the invention of Shaun P who was initially turned down by Dragons’ Den, but has since gone on to become one of the hair’s industry’s most innovative entrepreneurs.
