Laurie Castelli has been an independent commercials director and photographer for 10 years, following many years experience working in London advertising agencies.
He has directed spots for major brands all over the world, including AOL, Sony Playstation, Vodafone, Gordon´s Gin, Telefonica, and most recently has completed the latest worldwide campaign for Beck´s Beer.
His work has won awards at The British TV awards, Los Ojos de Iberoamerica, and been short-listed at Cannes.
In addition, projects include a number of non-commercial, issue based messages, such as a film on behalf of the victims of terrorism in Spain.
Laurie brings a great deal of experience and passion to his work, which is characterised by a cinematic sensibility, attention to detail, strong performances and a thorough understanding of storytelling and the importance of the advertising idea.
Over the last 3 years Laurie has spent a good deal of time in Latin America seeking out interesting work, perfecting his Spanish and building relationships with production companies in the region.
In addition to commercial work, a long love affair with photography has resulted in regular exhibitions and commissions, including frequent requests to combine his directing work with the development of the stills campaign for the same brand.
